It is a really important period for you and CCP. We have the birthday of EVE and the DUST514 public release. Everyone is super excited about both and we are working our sitting muscles on both, to make them real, to make them yours.
I can feel your excitement for the new build and new contents, and that is good!
I can also see your passion when you see nerfs to your favourite class or weapon, and that is good as well!
I can see a group of players with different opinions and emotions about DUST514 and that is amazing because you managed to grow up a lot as a community. An year ago we were a hundred, now we are thousands, thank to your passion!
What it is not good or helpful is what is happening in the forum right now: a swarm of spammy one-post micro-treads that casts a shadow on good ones. We need your opinions, we need to hear your voices, through your posts or funneled by the CPM. We need these to develop DUST514 towards the direction that you want. We do not want "noise" caused by spam because it will make more difficult for us to see constructive (not good, constructive) posts among toxic ones.
Thank you for understanding.
After reading this, I had an idea that for how to fix this (thought I should post it separate though so we could discuss it without clogging the original).
What would you guys think about it if they stickied special "superthreads" about the most common spam thread topics, with titles such as "fear over the great heavy nerf", where people could vent without clogging the main page? Also, further spam threads could be moved to that thread to clean the front page.
